St. George’s Church within the Czech Republic was in peril of closing till a local artist saved the day. He added something to the church that made it special. It wasn’t any holy water or statues. It was a haunting set up that played up the church’s fame for being cursed.
St. George’s Church was deserted and left to deteriorate for almost 30 years, however, was saved for being cursed. What a fascinating PR idea! Even for those who do not believe in curses, you will love what Jakub Hadrava did. The ghostly set up sends chills down my spine.
St. George’s Church
Lukova, Czech Republic
The church was left to rot after its roof collapsed within the late 1960s.
The locals took the collapse as an indication of bad luck and never returned.
Till Jakub Hadrava turned the place right into a work of art, that’s.
One spooky work of art.
The curse drove folks away from the church… and then right back into it.
